Travel starts at 8:30am April 27th with a car services picking us up and end in Lisbon at 8:30am April 28th. Its going to be a long. day.
Started the day with the car service picking us up on time. Checking was easy, and security was a breeze. We spend our time in the Maple Leaf Lounge prior to boarding out first leg to Toronto.

Landed in Toronto, passed through security and customs without issue. Next leg is from here to Newark, with a short layover, hoping for Lounge access.
Flight from Toronto to Newark has been upgraded to first class.
Flight to Newark was uneventful, on time both departing and arriving. Perfect. Left at about 9:10 local time (EST) and arrived at about 9:20 local time (Lisbon).
The flight from Newark to Lisbon, was a little late getting off the ground, but hey, for us that's ok since Lisbon is the destination on the last leg of our journey. Once we got off the ground all was good. Left about 30 minutes late arrived 30 minutes late, didn't make up any time on the flight. We both dozed, not really slept. There were a few bumpy points but nothing too nuts, the announcement to put on your seatbelt was a better indicator of turbulence than the actual turbulance.

In Lisbon: The lines for customs was crazy, it looked worse than it was, they really keep the people moving through, and it probably only took us 30 to 40 minutes to get through. When we saw the lines I expected it to be a hell of a lot more than that.
Got an UBER from the airport to the Hotel (MyStory Hotel Rossio) right in the middle of Lisbon. Hey it only cost us 10euro - so unbelieveably cheap, that included the tip for the driver - 5 Stars.
We're checked in, and going to peel off the last 20 hours of flying then get some food and explore a little bit.

We went out to find the local vodaphone store and got local SIM cards (Found out that our new phones do not support dual SIM {SAD}, got a bit to eat drank a lot of wine (we ordered 750cl each instead of 75ml each OOPS), the wine and food were quite good then went for a walk down to the waterfront and took a look around, then made our way back toward the hotel follwing one of the walking tours in Rick Steeves guide to Portugal. This took a couple of hours - been up for about 28 hours at this point with just a few naps on the plane from Newark to Lisbon. Ready to get some sleep
After a few hours of sleep we went out to find the train station - its right around the corner from the Hotel, and found the metro. Got our passes for the train and metro, so we're good to go for tomorrow. We have a trip to Sintra planned to visit the town and castle there - that should be an all day event.
