Alaska Cruise: Day 4: Day at Sea
by: Mark Comeau

This is our first day at sea, This gives us the opportunity to take in the ship, and attend some PCA talks and do some more exporing.

We found ourselves down in the dining room this morning for some breakfast, we had a nice sit down meal.  I had the omlette and Krista the poached eggs.  Princess has never let me down when it came to food and this experience was no different.

After breakfast we made our way to the one of many PCA events, this first one was a talk to introduce the speakers for the week, this included a youtube streamer by a huge car enthusiast with a lot of followers, someone who works in the car auction / sales industry, someome from Porsche AG, a person from Tag Heuer, and one from Perilli.

The first one was very good so we stayed for the next one the talk about the car auction / sales, as I am now looking to buy a good used Porsche Cayman or Cayman S.

We also attended a talk from the crew about navigating this huge ship through the narrow passages in Alaska as well as from the engineering crew, this was also very good and very informative.

We then listened to Randy Potts who works for an auction house that sells high end cars.  He talked about the market, which cars are increasing in prices and what would be considered fair pricing for some cars.  His talk was about for an hour.

We spent most of the day taking in the ship, this is a huge boat with a lot of different nooks and crannies.  Much of the day was just relaxing, figuring how things work, where everything is, like the gym, spa and where all the restaurants are located.  We also looked into whether upgrading our plus package to premium would be worth it, its not as we discovered we can use the internet with our phones and then just tether any other devices to this one, the drinks we might want are all included in the plus package so we don't need anymore, as for the pictures we can just pick and choose which ones we want then pay for what we take rather than just get everything for a set price that is really just a waste.

We ate at the buffet this evening, which is really quite good, they have a carving station where we got roast beef, there was also roast chicken.  The food here is plentyful and the variety is massive, so no issues getting something we like.
