Later that night we got bundled up, and headed to the cold to see if the Aurora would come out. We stepped out into the cold around 9:30, the sky was clear, and there was a good chance for a show. We did see the Aurora. It's hard to explain it, it appears like a green streak across the sky, then it will either grow and start to move or just fade away. We spent a few hours just looking at the sky. Definitely worth it. Temp was well I to the -30's°C feel like into the -40's°C
The lodge offers a service where they will wake you up if the Aurora start while your asleep. This night they knocked on our door around 1:00am, we went out into the night to take a look at the lights, we did get quite a good show; pictures to follow. We got to bed after 2:00m.
