Portugal Day Sixteen : Lisbon

Last day:  We traveled from Porto to Lisbon today on the high speed train.  Nice ride, no stress and top speed was about 220kms.  Arriving in Lisbon we took a taxi to the hotel at the airport.  We ate at the hotel, then made our way to get our COVID tests done, both of us are negative and are now ready to travel home.

From the airport we made our way into the city just to take one more look at Lisbon before we go home.  We stopped in one of our favorite parts of the city, Chiado.  We went to the same cafe we went to before and I had the Mazagrand again - oh so good, and we both had one of the egg pastries, brilliant.

After our snack, we checked in for our flight.  I had some but not too many problems, but Krista for some reason could not get checked in.  Found out hours later we found that one of the documents she was trying to upload just didn't work, I uploaded the document and it worked just fine - so strange.  We are both checked in with boarding passes, all good.

We shopped around in the Chiado, looking for some souvinirs but didn't find too much.  We then went down to the square where we started our Portugese adventure and finally got to the ginjinha place, the one that Rick Steeves suggest we go to, and tried it.  It's a liquor, much like a sherry, but includes two berries - not sure what kind of berries but they are loaded with alcohol.

We wandered around a little more then headed back to the airport.

We packed, got some food and we are now ready to travel back home, the Portugese adventure is over .... but we will be back.
